The freshman girls’ volleyball team destroyed the Novato Hornets in a 2-0 match last Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 23.
They beat the Novato girls with a dominate 25-0 win in the first game.
According to coach Ashlee Sand, this was the first time ever that a Redwood girls’ team won a game 25-0.
Emma Jaime served every point in the first game.
“It was nerve-wracking. It definitely got harder as the score got higher,” Jaime said.
Some players, such as co-captain Desiree Hale, said the wished the game was more challenging so that more players could have contributed to the game.
The freshman girls finished the match with a strong 25-14 win in the second game.
“As our last home game, we worked together to play a strong match. It will definitely be sad to end the season,” said Alicia Vargelas, a middle and outside hitter.
The freshman girls will play their last game of the season on Wednesday, Oct. 30, against Terra Linda High School.
