Freshman Lucy Farrow waits on third base, waiting for her moment to run to home plate. In an attempt to give the team a run, she stole second base, a crucial play in the game.
On Wednesday, April 23, the varsity softball team lost to Tamalpais High School (Tam) in a nail-biting game that kept fans on their toes. The game was tied throughout the first few innings, but in the bottom of the seventh, Tam, with a runner on first, got a hit, giving them a 1-0 lead. However, this did not discourage Redwood’s energy, as the girls in the dugout continued to chant for their teammates, and parents continued to fervently cheer them on. Girls’ varsity is now third in league standings, following closely behind San Marin and Archie Williams. Their next game is at San Marin on Monday, April 28.
