Redwood’s Cross Country team improved its record to 2-0 after a victory over San Rafael and Terra Linda high schools on Oct. 3.

The meet was relocated to Redwood’s campus after the recent federal government shutdown caused the closure of Redwood’s home course at Tennessee Valley.

The morning of the meet, the team was alerted of the closure, leading head Coach Laura Schmitt to organize an alternate course that included Redwood’s track and the Corte Madera bike path.

Redwood’s next MCAL meet will be Oct. 10 against San Marin and Drake.
