Boys’ varsity lacrosse cruises to another MCAL Championship as they dominate Tam

Dominance is an understatement when describing the boys’ varsity lacrosse Marin County Athletic League (MCAL) Championship. From start to finish, Redwood controlled the tempo of the game. After letting up a goal to Tam to start the first quarter, Redwood fired back with six unanswered goals. The first quarter would end with a score of 6-1 in the Giants’ favor.

For the next three quarters, the boys continued their offensive control. Junior Jake Vasquez led Redwood with six goals and three assists to help the Giants claim yet another championship. To pair with their strong offense, Redwood held a powerful defensive front throughout the game. With senior Colin McGrath and junior goalie Jackson Lesher, they were able to hold Tam to just two goals. As the Giants varsity lacrosse team continue their dominating season in the North Coast Section (NCS) tournament on Tuesday, May 2, they feel confident for their home game against Foothill.
