On Wednesday, March 16, the Giants track and field team faced the Novato Hornets and Terra Linda Trojans. While all three teams were evenly matched and ready to race, Redwood was able to dominate. The Giants crushed their races, especially the men’s 1600-meter race where they were able to take the first seven finishes. Senior Daegan Cutter led the event, placing first. Senior Audrey Maclean was able to place first in her event as well, the women’s 3200-meter race, where she excelled from the start. Redwood also dominated in other events such as the women’s high jump where junior Ruby Hauth finished in first place jumping 4 feet and 10 inches. The Giants will look to continue their hot start at their next Marin County Athletic League meet on March 23 against Marin Catholic and San Marin at Redwood.
