The Tamalpais Union High School District (TUHSD) held a meeting on Tuesday where 17 community members spoke on behalf of the Wellness Center.
There was a detailed second interim report presentation regarding the district’s budget in preparation for the budget-centric meeting on March 22.
Wellness Director Jessica Colvin and a colleague also made a presentation to the board about its successes in the year thus far.
School psychologist Julia Vander Vennet was one of the 17 who spoke in favor of Wellness.
“Mental health should be a priority and kids can’t learn without being healthy,” Vander Vennet stated.
