The girls’ varsity basketball team played a close game against Tamalpais on Tuesday that resulted in a 41-33 loss.

Redwood and Tam were neck and neck in the first quarter, with Tam having a slight edge as the quarter ended 9-8. Redwood failed to break through the Hawks’ defense, however, for the rest of the game, and the Hawks dramatically outscored the Giants in the fourth quarter, making 11 free throws.

The team will next play Sir Francis Drake on  Friday’s American-themed Game Night.
