Cash or Credit?

Cash+or+Credit%3F

While credit cards seem to be on the rise in American society, Redwood students seem to prefer to use cash.

According to a MasterCard survey asking Americans which form of payment they used more, cash or credit, 73 percent of the voters said they use credit cards more. Surprisingly enough though, most students prefer using cash because of it’s simplicity.  “With cash I can just earn it and spend it without having to go to the bank or depositing it in an ATM,” said junior Tristan Pulver.

Many feel the action of exchanging money is more familiar than just swiping a card. Those who do prefer credit or debit to cash felt that credit and debit is more secure and more reasonable. “With my credit card if I lose my wallet I can just cancel my card and I don’t lose any money” said junior CJ Chao.
