After failing to put any points on the board for the majority of the game, Redwood varsity boys’ soccer defeated Branson 1-0 with a goal in the final minutes.

In front of a standing and shouting Game Night crowd, forward Sasha Boussina cut across the field and drilled a goal past the goalie into the right side of the net.

“As always it was an exciting and intense game, but we pulled out the win with our hard working team and our will to win,” said Luke Pfeiffer, a midfielder and co-captain.

Redwood maintained possession for most of the contest before allowing a few late chances for Branson.

With the win, the team stayed undefeated, improving their record to 7-0-3 in MCAL.
