Photo Essay: Varsity girls’ volleyball has a quick triumph against the Marin Catholic Wildcats

On Thursday, Oct. 5, the girls’ varsity volleyball team took home a quick triumph against rival school, Marin Catholic. In this highly anticipated match, the Giants maintained strong confidence, ending with a three set sweep. The team was victorious due to their display of teamwork, collaboration and persistence.

Outside hitter and senior Jaden Hendrickson, as well as junior libero Ella Moran helped to lead the girls to victory. Kills and aces can also be credited to senior Kate Sicklick, who stuffed countless blocks on the net. The Giants ended their first set with a 25-21 win, the second set with an ever bigger lead of 25-19 and the third and final set with a score of 26-24.

The Giants had lots of support from their student section, and even an appearance from mascot Big Red. The girls’ next league game is against Novato High School on Oct. 11, at 6:30 pm. Show up and show out to support the varsity girls!
