Stop and smell the flowers with Redwood’s roses and buds

Charlotte Fishburne

As the Redwood parking lot dries up from the rain and the California poppies bloom through the sidewalks, it has become abundantly clear that spring is upon us. With the culmination of Advanced Placement classes, an excited buzz across campus and summer close enough to touch, anyone can feel the essence of new opportunities and accomplishment in the air. Host Charlotte Fishburne captures the end-of-year enthusiasm and optimism by asking Giants around campus what their rose and bud of the year are; a “rose,” meaning a highlight of the year, and a “bud” signifying something they are looking forward to for next year.
