The girls’ varsity lacrosse team played its first scrimmage against Marin Catholic on Tuesday afternoon.

The scrimmage was not scored but provided valuable insight into the team’s success in the upcoming season.

“I think overall as a team, we played a lot better than we had expected,” sophomore Layla Dunne said. “For our first game we worked really well together and this showed the potential of what this team can do.”

According to Dunne, the team will focus on passing, catching, and their overall communication.

The team’s first official game will be on Friday at Redwood against Miramonte.
