Nestled in the heart of Sausalito, MJ Sushi has been operating for just four weeks. Despite their recency, upon entry, I was greeted by warm servers and noticed the dimly lit chandeliers and lanterns casting a soft glow on each menu. I looked around and noticed the Japanese decor covering the walls and the lodge-like feeling of the restaurant. The beige walls and large open windows captured my attention as my order was taken.
Aside from the decor, one of the things I enjoyed about MJ Sushi was how reasonably priced the meals were and how decorative the plates were.

I got a big plate of Japanese chicken for only five dollars. The service was very quick, and I received my food within five minutes of ordering. I was relieved when the sushi’s flavors melted in my mouth, perfectly syncing with each other. I would give the sushi a 9/10 because of its perfect ratio of salty and sweet flavors. Unfortunately, with a bumpy texture, the chicken had a bland taste, and its sauce lacked flavor, leading it to a total ranking of 8/10. Overall, MJ Sushi offers good service, kind staff and a good eating atmosphere, and I recommend it if you are a sushi lover and want a cheap but tasty meal.
