On Tuesday, April 22, the boys’ varsity lacrosse team walked away with a blowout Senior Day victory of 19-3 against the Novato High School Hornets. After a heartwarming dedication to the class of 2025 and their parents, the starting lineup quickly pulled ahead 3-0 by the end of the first quarter. Continuing their success from the first quarter, the Giants scored five more goals in the second, establishing a firm 8-2 lead going into halftime.
In the second half, Coach Neil Butterfield played most of the Junior Varsity (JV) lineup, feeling confident in the lead established by varsity starters. Recent callup, sophomore Emmet O’Neil, scored an astounding six goals, three of which came in the first half. Other notable performances came from senior Luke Tempero, who netted four goals and junior Henry Barker, who contributed three more.
By the end of the third quarter, the Giants held on to a 16-3 lead. The game was called with around two minutes remaining due to a serious injury suffered by one of the Novato Hornets. The final score was 19-3, allowing the senior night celebration to end in a win.
