Photo Essay: San Rafael’s monthly art walk draws crowds for a night of culture and creativity

On Friday, Feb. 9, the monthly Downtown San Rafael Art Walk attracted numerous attendees with its colorful fine art. This event is held every second Friday of the month, beginning at 5 p.m. and ending around 8 p.m.. Many community members, families and art lovers come to celebrate the fine art artists have produced. This walk has everything from sculpture and jewelry, to paintings and fiber art. Each piece is up for sale and all artists are present at the event, more than willing to answer any inquiries regarding their art. The next event is set for Mar. 8, featuring open art studios spread throughout Downtown San Rafael.
