On Thursday, May 4, the varsity track and field team headed to San Marin High School for the Marin County Athletic League (MCAL) qualifiers. Facing off against Tamalpais High School (Tam), Archie Williams, San Rafael, Marin Catholic, Terra Linda, Novato and San Marin, Redwood exceeded any and all expectations. The girls’ team took first place in two of the three heats in the 400-meter dash and secured the top four places in the 1600-meter race. The boys’ team finished in first place in three of the four heats of both the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes. Additionally, they secured the top four spots in the 1600-meter run as well.
