Alexander Bridge in Larkspur reopens

Larkspur’s Alexander Avenue Bridge has been reopened for public use.

Traffic was once again permitted to cross the bridge Aug. 30, but construction will continue with a total estimated span of eight to twelve months.

Originally built in 1925 to cross over the railroad that traveled underneath, the Alexander Bridge serves as a connecting path from nearby neighborhoods to Magnolia Drive. The construction aims to strengthen the bridge for seismic activity.
