Varsity tennis wins bracket at Fresno tournament

The varsity tennis team won their bracket in the Division II California High School Tennis Classic that took place on Sept. 7 and 8 in Fresno.

Redwood went 1-2 in matches on day one of the tournament and was relegated to the second tier bracket, where they won won matches to claim first place. There were four tiers of brackets in Division II.

The team won their first match on day one, and tied their second, but lost the tiebreaker to drop them from the victory bracket.

Sophomore Keiko Kamei and freshman Lauren Wolfe were ranked 1 and 2 for the Fresno tournament. Wolfe won all five of her matches. Senior Diana Tarrazo also contributed significantly, going undefeated with five wins in her matches.
