It is a battle of the bay, and Redwood is invited.

On Friday, March 29, the Redwood Foundation will be hosting a fundraising event at AT&T Park, where the San Francisco Giants will be playing the Oakland A’s in a preseason match-up. Proceeds from the ticket sales will go directly to the Foundation.

According to Randi Curhan, the development director for the Foundation Board, about 200 tickets are available for purchase.

“The money that we make benefits all the programs that the Foundation supports,” Curhan said. “It’s initially not intended to be a huge money-maker, but we are trying to get in with the Giants organization so maybe someday it will be.”

According to Budget Secretary Margaret Catelli, as of press time 17 tickets have been sold.

Tickets for the event are 20 dollars and will be sold until they run out.
