This past Wednesday, Jan. 23,  girls’ varsity soccer (9-0-4) defeated Drake (5-4-4) by a score of 5-1 to secure their first place spot in the Marin County Athletic League (MCAL). With two early goals, Redwood was able to keep a dominant lead throughout the game.

To set the tone early on in the first half, senior attacking mid and Tufts University commit Maddie Pero nailed a corner kick to put the Giants up 1-0. Quickly after, junior center forward and University of California Santa Barbara commit Grace Bouton scored, solidifying the Giant’s lead of 2-0.
