Underclassman election results released

The freshman and sophomore elections results were announced this week to determine the new officers for the spring semester.

The freshman results were not surprising, since only one candidate ran for each position.  Adelaide Shunk was elected freshman president, Kendra Loo as vice president, Erin Gray as secretary, and Maggy Kepler as the treasurer.

The sophomore class had a close race with two candidates running for each office position.  Kismet Kumar was elected president, Jacob Zazzeron as vice president, Shauna Perigo as secretary, and Sabina Nargiz as treasurer.

Kumar stressed in her biography that she would make sure that everyone in her class has a say.

“My main goal would be to raise more money with additional fundraisers, like the run-at-thon,” Kumar said.  “I want to start a big tradition, which won’t be easy to do, but will be fun and raise a lot of money.”

Zazzeron was the vice president last semester as well.  He said that his main goals are working towards having a better underclassmen dance in order to raise money for their Prom.
