The game was tied 2-2 at halftime, but Redwood was able to take over in the second half, outscoring Marin Academy 5-0 in the third quarter and 2-1 in the fourth.

Frustration bogged down the Marin Academy team, which kept up with Redwood for the first eight minutes, but ultimately fell behind as the game went on.

Junior Jacqueline Racich and senior Jennafer Schoonover led Redwood’s scoring surge down the stretch, both firing three goals into the back of the net.

The Giants’ ball movement across the pool set up breakaway chances for the forwards, leading to many goal scoring opportunities.

The team’s next game is Thursday, Oct. 22 at home against Terra Linda.
