Boys’ varsity lacrosse clinches win in overtime

Boys+varsity+lacrosse+clinches+win+in+overtime

The boys’ varsity lacrosse team clustered around junior Nolan Cassidy, celebrating his winning goal in double overtime against Davis High School on Wednesday, May 13 in their first NCS game.

The score was tied 6-6 when entering overtime. It was not until the second overtime, with 2 minutes remaining when Cassidy scored for the Giants, bringing them to a victory.

Senior goalie Ethan Baer was a big determiner of the Giants win with multiple saves in both overtimes.

The win will send the team to the quarterfinals in NCS. The Giants will be playing San Ramon Valley away at 7 p.m. tomorrow.
