JV Report: Marin Catholic rolls over Giants

JV quarterback Aaron Dorfler is hit as he attempts to throw a pass in the Giants’ 63-0 loss to Marin Catholic on Sept. 29.

Redwood’s JV football squad failed to slow Marin Catholic’s high-powered offense in a 63-0 blowout loss at MC on Saturday.

The Giants’ offense was shut down, and was unable to get a first down until midway through the second quarter.

Meanwhile, the Wildcats started off strongly, returning the opening kickoff for a touchdown.

Strong performances from MC’s Paul Kunst and freshman quarterback Darius Peterson had Redwood looking at a 35 point deficit at halftime that they could not overcome.

The lone bright spot for the Giants’ offense came late in the second quarter when they moved the ball up field to the Wildcat’s 15 yard line, but couldn’t convert on a key fourth down. Redwood (2-1) will look to bounce back next Saturday at home against Terra Linda.
