Between the dates of May 26 through 29, seniors participated in senior week, an annual celebratory tradition dedicated to seniors. It began with senior skip day on Tuesday, followed by a rally and Jamba Juice on Wednesday, jersey day and ice cream on Thursday and Next Steps Day and burritos on Friday.
Senior Tate Donaldson is committed to Williams University, and enjoyed many of the senior week activities.
“[Senior week] really separates us from the rest of the school, makes us feel really special and that’s what I love about it,” Donaldson said.
Senior week is also an opportunity for seniors to bond and celebrate, according to senior Brittney Blair.
“I think senior week is important because it’s a good way to send us all off and create new memories,” Blair said.
Next Steps day ended the week, and offered the opportunity for seniors to wear clothing showcasing their college decisions or plans for after high school.
“Decision day [was my favorite part], seeing where everyone’s committed, and being proud of it and representing it,” senior Shane Pastel said.
