On Senior Day, April 21, the varsity boys tennis team put on a highlight reel against San Rafael winning all four of the games played. San Rafael was forced to forfeit three matches because the team didn’t have enough players, causing the day to only contain four matches and the Giants to win 7-0.
Senior Lukas Berger, who played in a doubles match with senior Oliver Weston, talked about the key to winning against teams who may not be as good, like San Rafael.
“I think it was about keeping my focus against a team that wasn’t quite as good and trying to motivate both myself and my partner to still give it our all,” Berger said.
Berger then talked about the significance of senior day “It was great playing with all the seniors and celebrating seniors who gave a lot to the team and played for four years. It just seems like a good farewell to the team,” Berger said.

During the matches a controversy arose about the score and line calls in one of the singles matches that sophomore Casra Afsharipour was playing in, so players from both teams came on the court to provide another opinion by judging the game.
With the extra eyes watching, Afsharipour won the four remaining games left in the match. His opponent won three points after that while Afsharipour won 15 points.
