At Oracle Park, the home of the San Francisco Giants, there are many features to be aware of: best seats suited for you, the best food, and the best family areas. So, if you’re ever planning to watch a game at a well-loved stadium by Major League Baseball fans, here’s a guide to get you started.
Best Seats
Bleachers – Best Atmosphere
If you’re looking for a place that gets rowdy every game, at night or in the day, then the bleachers are where it’s at. However, with no shade, the summer sunshine could be uncomfortable. The atmosphere of the bleachers is uncompromisingly-fun, lively and explosive, with a view of the whole field from afar in the outfield.
Section 308-323 – Best Views
Sections 308 to 323 are located in the upper level surrounding home plate. Being in these sections gives fans a miraculous view of the bay and the whole stadium. One downside of this area however is that the game can be difficult to watch due to the large distance between the field and the upper deck.
Section 208-213 – Best Overall Seats
Overall, sections 208 to 213 are the best seats. While tickets can be expensive, you would be located at the club level, featuring nicer amenities than other parts of the stadium like the food and layout of the level. These seats give you a top-tier view, and you’ll be right behind home plate, where you’ll be able to see the bay.
Best Food
Super Duper Burger
Located on the promenade level near the bleachers, Super Duper Burger gets crowded quickly due to its popularity for a mid-game meal. With fries, burgers and shakes, you can fulfill your food cravings in plenty of ways, making this local Bay Area food chain a popular stop at Oracle Park.
Ghiradelli
With two spots in the park, Ghirardelli is arguably the best concession spot at Oracle. Located at sections 136 (O’Doul Plaza) and 223, both of the stores get crowded quickly, so I’d recommend getting a rich hot chocolate, creamy ice cream, or hot fudge sundae early in the game.
Crazy Crab’z
From personal experience, Crazy Crab’z is the best food option, even just for their famous crab sandwich. While expensive, the sweet blend of crab, tomato and lemon brings your taste buds to life. You can find Crazy Crab’z in center field near the Coca-Cola bottle, section 211 and section 314, giving you many different areas around the park to choose from at your convenience.
Best Family Spots
Coca-Cola Bottle
While it may not be very entertaining to a teenager, children will have great memories riding on the Coca-Cola slide during the seventh inning stretch to last a lifetime. These slides do get packed, especially in the middle of the game. If you’re going to ride this iconic Oracle Park feature, I’d recommend doing so before the Coca-Cola Bottle turns on its dashing neon lights.
415 Club
The 415 Club features a separate entrance, a DJ booth and fun games below the seats for all ages to participate in. To get into the 415 Club in center field, you must obtain a membership, which is between $199-$465 a season.
Toyota Fan Zone
Featuring its own electronic scoreboard, this small wiffleball field next to Super Duper allows kids to attempt hitting a wiffleball over the short outfield fence. Similar to the Coca-Cola slide, it lines up quickly, so I’d recommend going on the earlier side to avoid crowds.
