Crisp fall air, whopping watchers and the excitement of game day is upon us. As fall sports continue, the rave for sports food rises. Fall sports wouldn’t be complete without the food that fuels fans. According to a September Bark survey, 64 percent of students enjoy eating while watching sports games. Game day isn’t complete without the supporting meals. It’s not just about making the food; it’s sharing it with those around you. A classic dish shared with everyone — dips — are centered around fall game days, and here are a couple of the tastiest options.
Buffalo Chicken Dip –- 10/10
Buffalo chicken dip is a protein filled dip and also a delicious snack. The buffalo sauce mixed with the ranch adds great flavor. It’s tasteful, savory and combines the best seasoning. Frank’s Red Hot, a classic sauce commonly used in chicken wings, is the highlight of the dip. The perfect rating speaks for itself: Buffalo chicken dip is a classic and a delicious dip, perfect for any game day.

Layered Bean Dip 4/10
This recipe is very familiar to me –- my mom would make it during the Super Bowl for my family. This dip consists of sour cream, black beans, guacamole and shredded cheese on top. Even if you are not a huge fan of sour cream, adding taco seasoning to the sour cream makes it better. But the cold cheese and dip, combined with a mushy texture, made it mediocre. Although I don’t usually like sour cream, the taco seasoning made it a smidge better.

French Onion Dip 8/10
In my house, french onion dip is a classic. It’s my dad’s favorite and we always had it during a football game. This was highly rated because of its tastiness and how easy it is to make. Making this easy dish only requires sour cream and a Lipton french onion soup packet. The small onions in the dip make it even more scrumptious, giving it a slight crunch and appetizing flavor. It’s not exactly the perfect, most flavorful dip, but it really does the job of being delicious and simple. The ease of putting together this recipe makes it worthwhile, only taking three minutes and being amazing with any chip.

These classic game day dips are great to have alone or share with friends and family. The varied flavors that combine meat and vegetables cater to anyone’s tastebuds. The easy ingredients that are in the dips make it simple for everyone to make at home. Even better, they make game day more enjoyable.
