Black History Month lunch:
Redwood High School’s Black Student Union (BSU) celebrated Black History Month with a special barbecue sandwich fundraiser at lunch on Feb. 28. Students enjoyed five dollar sandwiches, prepared by BSU members. The fundraiser aimed to highlight Black culture and bring the community together in celebration of Black History Month.

Redwood art show:
On March 1, families and community members gathered at Book Passage to experience the creativity of Redwood High School’s AP Art students at their annual exposition, “Where We Find Ourselves.” Led by art teacher Lauren Bartone, the showcase highlighted student reflections on personal and societal challenges through visual expression. The event drew a large crowd and offered students the chance to see how their art resonates with the community.

Prom boutique:
The 3rd Annual Redwood Prom Boutique which ran from March 8 to March 16 at The Village Corte Madera offered free formalwear to students across the Bay Area to help them enjoy their proms in style. The boutique provides new and lightly worn dresses, suits, tuxedos, shoes and accessories at no cost. This year, Redwood collaborated with other high school’s throughout the county. The boutique ensures that all students, regardless of financial circumstances, can celebrate their special night with confidence.

Pi day:
On Friday, March 14, the Leadership class put on the annual Pi Day Contest during lunch. Students gathered outside the Small Gym to watch fellow classmates recall as many digits of pi as they could and present homemade pies for the judges.

Night of blues:
On March 14, Redwood High School held its annual “Night of Blues” at the Corte Madera Community Center where the Advanced Performance Workshop (APW) performed. This special event showcased the musical talents of the APW students in an unforgettable evening of blues and live performances.
