On Tuesday, Jan. 14, boys’ varsity basketball extended their win streak to seven games in a blowout over the San Rafael Bulldogs, advancing their record to 10-4.
The Giants came out fast, winning the opening tip and scoring on the first possession to take the lead right away, which they kept through all four quarters of the game. By the end of the first quarter, the Giants had a massive lead of 26-2, with big performances from seniors Brennan Woodley and Simon Leonard. In the second quarter, the team remained dominant with baskets from senior captains Noah Tanaka and Semetri “TT” Carr.
Going into the second half, the team’s starters were given a well-deserved break with the commanding lead. The Giants cruised to victory in the third and fourth quarters, defeating San Rafael 68-33.
