Varsity girls’ soccer dominates Ukiah after losing their captain in the first half

On Dec. 5, girls’ varsity soccer beat Ukiah in commanding fashion. Controlling the ball for the majority of the game, Redwood came away with a 2-0 victory in this non-league game. An early goal by sophomore Sarah Farese pushed the team to focus on maintaining possession even with captain Coco Boyden leaving the game early with an injury to her leg. This required Redwood to lean on its bench to stay in control of the game. Senior Liliana De Leon Morales came in from the bench to score Redwood’s second goal and seal the game in the second half.
