Freshmen football loses 8-6 to Alameda
Wesley Simmonds
September 5, 2012
Quarterback Enzo Tallerico surveyed the field during a game against the Alameda Hornets on Aug. 30 at the Redwood football field.
Tallerico flies past the Alameda defender on his way to a first down.
Both teams gained several first downs, but the end of the first half saw scoreless defensive battle.
At 3:19 in the third quarter, the Redwood defense recovered a fumble in the end-zone to make the score 6-0.
Alameda battled back, and with 5:10 left in the fourth quarter, scored a touchdown off a twenty-six yard pass which, after a successful two point conversion, put the Hornets ahead for good.
