Redwood’s varsity baseball team won against Sacred Heart Cathedral in a closely fought pitchers dual on Saturday with a score of 1-0.

Junior Zack Kopstein pitched a complete game shutout allowing only two hits.

The scoreless game was decided in Redwood’s final at bat when Senior Tyler Peck hit a sacrifice fly with the bases loaded.

Sophomore Aubrey Sine came home from third to score the winning run. Teammates mobbed Peck, celebrating the victory.

Following the win, Redwood’s record improved to 4-1.

Redwood’s next game will be away on March 11 against Montgomery High School
