On Friday, Jan. 23, Redwood varsity boys soccer faced Terra Linda. In the first half, senior James Mostafavi gave Redwood an early lead with a powerful goal, putting the team up 1-0 and setting a promising tone against Terra Linda. Redwood controlled possession throughout the match, creating open chances and keeping consistent pressure. In the second half, Terra Linda found the back of the net on a clean shot and later converted a long-range free kick, swinging the momentum and ultimately handing Redwood a narrow 2-1 loss. Despite the setback, the team remains optimistic and determined to push forward, aiming to secure a higher playoff seed and see how far they can advance in the postseason.
