
Solar Canopies and EV chargers in the backlot:
The Tamalpais Union High School District will begin construction on a solar energy project in the Redwood’s East (Back) Parking Lot. The project will include solar panels and electric vehicle charging stations. Construction will primarily occur during the Summer.

RFK Jr. supports Point Reyes ranchers facing eviction:
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has voiced support for ranchers at Point Reyes National Seashore who are facing eviction due to a legal settlement limiting livestock operations. He urged federal officials to intervene, citing the cultural and historical value of the ranchers. A Congressional review is ongoing as eviction deadlines loom.
Colorado anti-semitism attack:
On June 1, a man attacked a pro-Israel solidarity walk in Boulder, Colorado, using a makeshift flamethrower and Molotov cocktails. The FBI is investigating it as a hate crime after the suspect, Mohamed Sabry Soliman, admitted he targeted the group for being “Zionist.”

Lowell journalism advisor asked to step down after controversial story:
Eric Gustafson, journalism teacher and advisor to The Lowell newspaper, was removed from his role following a student article that reported on alleged verbal harassment by teachers. The San Francisco Press Club and other journalism organizations have condemned the move as a violation of press freedom, citing California laws that protect the freedom of press rights of student journalists and their advisors. The Bark also wrote an editorial about how important freedom of the press is to our program.
