Elsa Houtkooper is a sophomore and is in her second year writing for The Redwood Bark.  Her favorite aspect is working with her classmates and writing articles she’s passionate about. Outside of the program she plays basketball for Redwood and enjoys going to In-N-Out with friends.

Five minutes before the gunshot went off, signaling the runners to start, the girls did their pregame tradition of chanting in a circle with smiles on their faces. Not only did this intimidate the other teams, but it also boosted Redwood’s energy.
