Many runners wear different Thanksgiving-themed outfits, such as turkey hats and feathery tutus.
On Nov. 28, the Bank of Marin held the 25th Annual Marin Turkey Trot at College of Marin’s (COM) Novato campus. Runners from several different age groups came together to start Thanksgiving with a bang in three different races. The Youth 1 Mile race was held at 8:00 a.m., the five kilometer race at 8:25 a.m. and the 10 kilometer race at 8:30 a.m. Racers picked up their shirts and bibs the day before at Sports Basement in Novato, a main sponsor of the race. Medals and water bottles were passed out to tired runners at the finish line, who supportive family members greeted on the crisp Thanksgiving morning.
