A man of many mustaches, Peter Parish placed third in the annual Petaluma Whiskerino competition, held Oct. 6, with a second championship title less than a hair’s length away.
“The competition was much stiffer, by far,” Parish said. “I think I would have won if I had the same competition as last year.”
This year, Parish placed third in his category of “other” in which he used a combination of double mustaches.
“The mustache was including two sets of curls, almost like stacked mustaches on top of each other,” said Parish.
Parish said that attending the competition has already become a tradition and he plans to enter the competition again next year, although he hints that he may head into the goatee category to pursue a whole new field of competition.
