Boys’ varsity baseball crushed Marin Catholic (MC) in an 8-1 win on Tuesday, April 1. The Giants scored seven runs in the first inning, highlighted by a three-run single off the bat of junior Jack Moseley. Senior Miles Harrison was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, and then sophomore Randall Given singled, scoring another. After batting around, leadoff hitter, junior Theo Trono knocked in a run in the first inning. As the first inning came to a close, the Wildcats scored their first and only run of the game. The Giants had their last run in the fourth inning.
Moseley was the standout star of the game. Across seven innings, he only gave up five hits and one run, striking out nine and only walking two. He fought fiercely to give the Giants their win. Trono led the team with three hits and one run. The Giants are now fourth in the Marin County Athletic League. They face off against the Wildcats again at MC on Friday, April 4.
