The annual Club Day took place for the spring semester on Jan. 29 and 30 during lunch. Multiple tables lined the South Lawn, decorated with colorful posters in hopes of swaying students to join their clubs. Students buzzed with excitement as they walked around, viewing the wide variety of offerings the school has. Redwood has over 90 clubs, spanning diverse options such as Ski Club, Democrat Club and many more.
Juniors Meg Stevenson and Elle Wilson founded Women in Business, a new club this spring. Stevenson believes that this club is an important addition to the clubs currently offered because it will help women enter a male-dominated field, which is especially difficult as there are no business programs offered at Redwood.

“[We want to] encourage more women of our generation to get into different facets of business because it’s an oversaturated area with men. One of our big things is that we want to have guest speakers and we want to expose people to different areas of business. Since there’s not a business program at Redwood, [we] want to fill that gap and help people determine their area of study or career path later,” Stevenson said.
On the second day of the event, the Language Exchange Club set up their table. Co-president Emma Quaroni shared her inspiration as to why she started this club and explained how it can be a way people can connect.
“My main inspiration was because I wanted to see if there were other people who spoke Italian here, [like I do]. I [met] someone last year from Italy who joined my club, and that was super nice. Meeting other kids who are bilingual or also who are interested in learning about another language is fun,” Quaroni said.

Every club offered will be running throughout the entire spring semester. Any and all students are welcome to join whichever club interests them, presenting a great opportunity to find a community at such a large school.
