On Tuesday, Dec. 17, the Redwood Giants boys’ varsity basketball faced off against the Santa Rosa Panthers. The Giants went on a streak to start the game, leading 10-7 with two minutes left in the first quarter. At the end of the second quarter, thanks to crucial points by seniors Simon Leonard and Brennan Woodley, the Giants held the lead with a score of 35-24. Starting the second half, the Giants quickly racked up more points, finishing the third quarter with 52 points, completely shutting down the Santa Rosa offense by allowing zero points. In the last quarter, Redwood ended the game strong, ultimately finishing with a 62-27 win. Redwood’s next match is against Campbell Hall at Damien High School on Dec. 26.
