On Nov. 3, Endless Quest Coffee Roasters officially opened their doors in Marin. Originating in Newport Beach, the coffee shop opened its second location in Corte Madera and is expanding into a third location in Costa Mesa. You are immediately greeted with a kind smile when you enter the store. The store is simple, with cute decor and workers who genuinely seem happy to take your order and converse. The baristas are passionate about the coffee they serve and are happy to answer any questions you have based on their knowledge and expertise.
Endless Quest works closely with coffee bean farmers worldwide by maintaining open communication and collaboration throughout coffee production. This hands-on approach allows them to learn about the economic and agricultural factors influencing coffee production annually and within each country. By working directly with producers, they create high-quality, unique coffees while prioritizing supporting the families and communities behind the beans.
Iced Latte $5.50
The iced latte is a personal go-to at any coffee shop, but only some hit the spot. Endless Quest did an excellent job and exceeded my standards. There are three options for homemade sweeteners: vanilla, honey and brown sugar. Each sweetener has a base of brown sugar which blends well with the expresso, which tastes rich and has the perfect mixture of sweetness and bitterness, creating a pleasant aftertaste. Adding their brown sugar and vanilla sweeteners provides a sweeter taste, while their honey syrup leaves room for a stronger taste of their espresso.
Cappuccino $4.75
A staff favorite is the Endless Quest Cappuccino. The drink is popular for its balanced espresso flavoring. The drink was creamy, with the perfect amount of foam sitting perfectly at the top of the mug, allowing the added bitterness of the expresso not to be overridden by the taste of milk. The drink presentation was gorgeous, and the warm drink was perfect for a slow, foggy fall morning.
Matcha $5.50
Although Endless Quest takes pride in roasting its own coffee, It is also proud of its single-origin Matcha, imported directly from Japan. Their matcha is perfectly creamy and balanced between natural sweetness and an earthy flavor.
It’s hard to find a really good matcha, but Endless Quest is a place I’ll be recommending. It’s the perfect midday pick-me-up.
If I were to complain about one thing, it would be that they don’t sell food or pastries. That would make the shop a perfect breakfast stop before school, but other than that, I had a really wonderful experience at Endless Quest Coffee Roasters.
Overall, each drink was enjoyable. My personal favorite, in the first place, would be the iced latte, specifically with the brown sugar syrup, which will definitely be my go-to order when I go back. A close second would be the matcha. I thought it was really well made, but personally, it just doesn’t have enough caffeine for me. Lastly, the cappuccino wasn’t my favorite, but it was still delicious coffee.
