On Tuesday, Nov. 26, girls’ varsity soccer scrimmaged against the Tamalpais (Tam) Red Tailed Hawks. Tam scored the only goal early in the first half, converting off a cross with a difficult first-time finish. Despite this, the Giants stayed competitive throughout, with confident saves from their array of goalies. The rest of the game was close, with both teams having multiple opportunities at a goal, unable to capitalize however. Redwood fell short in the 1-0 loss and will continue their pre-season practice in multiple tournaments with out-of-league teams. The rival teams will meet again on Jan. 29 at Tam in a Marin County Athletic League match.
