On Tuesday, Oct. 22, the girls’ varsity water polo team secured a win against Terra Linda High School. As family, friends and supporters gathered in the bleachers to watch the face off, the starting whistle was blown at 6 p.m. to commence the game. The Giants quickly gained control of the ball, with goals scored across the team by junior Morgan Sicklick and freshman Samantha Riley to name a few. They featured swift offense during the event, displaying fast passes and plays with strong communication. On defense, junior goalie Aurora DeVilbiss carried the team to success, with multiple fast and precise blocks throughout the night. The Giants displayed powerful defense through quick steals and turnarounds, allowing the Trojans to score fewer goals. The game ended with a final score of 12-6 as the sun set behind Mt. Tam.
The Giants play their next match on Thursday, Oct. 24, at 6 p.m. against San Rafael High School, so make sure to show up and support the players on their way to another victory!
