Between Oct. 7-14, the San Francisco Fleet Week Association hosted the annual San Francisco Fleet Week festivities. The San Francisco Fleet Week involved over 2,500 sailors visiting San Francisco between the United States Marine Corps (USMC) and the United States Coast Guard (USCG.) Fleet Week concluded with the popular Fleet Week Airshow centered over San Francisco’s Marina Green with aircraft passing over landmarks like the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz. The Airshow included performances by aircraft from United Airlines, the main sponsor of the Airshow. Aircraft from the United States Air Force, the USMC, the USCG and many more were featured in the show. The culmination of Oct. 12’s edition of the Airshow, the Blue Angels’ performance, was canceled due to worsening visibility over the bay.
