Today at 11 a.m., Redwood experienced a partial power outage, leaving the school with dark hallways, no bells, and no power to some classrooms.
According to Principal David Sondheim, a power line was damaged in the east parking lot.
A tree in the parking lot caught fire as well, presumably due to the downed power line.
According to Assistant Principal LaSandra White, the cars surrounding the burning tree are not being permitted to move until after the situation is safe.
The local fire department and enforcement have arrived and closed off the scene.
As of Wednesday morning, the power has been restored to the main building in full.
