Halftime of the Homecoming football game was jam-packed with spectator friendly events, including an invigorating performance by the Varsity Cheer Squad, the grand entrance of the Homecoming Court in convertible cars, and the presentation of the King and Queen. But one anonymous male stole the show wearing nothing but a Richard Nixon mask and a pair of cleats.
Oohs and cheers rippled through the bleachers as the crowd saw the streaker tear across the turf and make a quick exit over the fence on the west end of the field. The incident occurred during the cheerleaders’ halftime routine, while the Homecoming couples approached in cars.
The administration has not yet determined the identity of the streaker, but after the game, Principal David Sondheim said that the administration would be looking further into the matter and if caught, the streaker would be punished accordingly.
This, however, is not the first time that a streaker has soaked up the spotlight during a Tam District school’s Homecoming football game.
Senior Zack Cohen said that when he was a freshman, he attended the Tamalpias High School Homecoming game. In similar fashion, a streaker sprinted across the field during half time and was climbing up the chain link fence to escape when the principal yanked him down from the fence and brought him in for discipline.
