Fueled by a strong offense and defense, the girls’ varsity basketball team towered over Terra Linda, finishing with a score of 55-35 today.
“Everyone came out to play today. We honed in on their key players, coming out with intensity,” head coach Diane Peterson said.
Junior Carli Jacks stood out for the Giants in the first half, draining several key shots to push the team ahead. In the second half, senior Danielle McCauley led the team with strong defense.
The next game the Giants will play is at home against Marin Catholic Jan. 10 at 6 pm.According to Peterson the victory could go to either team.
“All the teams are fairly even this year. We got to make sure we show up every game determined and ready to win,” Peterson said.
As of now the team’s record stands at 2-1.
