On the afternoon of April 29, the Redwood girls JV soccer team won a two-hour game against Tam with a score of 1-0.
The first half of the game went slow in the scorching heat. Tam kept the ball closer to the net, but Redwood’s defense was too strong for them to score.
After halftime finished, the players stepped up their game with newfound energy and the encouragement of their coach.
It was halfway through the second half of the game when Redwood was able to dash through Tams defense and score the first goal of the game. There was still a decent amount of time left in the game, but Redwood kept their defense tight, freezing the score at 1-0.
