On Jan. 23, incoming freshmen from the class of 2029 walked the halls of Redwood as they toured their soon-to-be new school. Hosted by Redwood and assisted by the Leadership team, the Open House event ran from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., with an abundance of staff and students that aimed to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
The event featured tours for future students, booths promoting class fundraisers, and a presentation by Principal Barnaby Payne and Associated Student Body President Charlotte Lacy. Also showcased were performances by Redwood’s music department and drama program, EPIC Drama. Students could learn about different subjects at Redwood such as math or Spanish, and how they differ in rigor compared to middle school courses at tables lining the South Lawn.
The event offered several opportunities to learn about Redwood and its unique curriculum and clubs, providing future students with valuable information as they transition from middle to high school.
